Referring to a phrase associated with consolation and emotional self-control, the work turns a familiar promise of relief into a fragile mechanism of waiting. Created in 2020, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic,
the object reflects on vulnerability, isolation, and the suspended sense of time that defined that period. The act of opening the box becomes an intimate encounter with an image that
seems to offer reassurance, while also revealing the uncertainty of when — or whether — this state will truly pass.
