CACHE
The installation Cache addresses the theme of memory storage and transformation. Over time, memory loses its clear outlines, turning into a neutral field in which only a few fragments remain — the brightest and most significant ones. The artist views the act of remembering as a continuous process of rewriting the past, where each recollection alters the original image. In this way, history becomes an individual construction, devoid of objectivity.
The title refers to the term cache — a high-speed memory area used for temporary data storage. Through this metaphor, the artist draws a parallel between human consciousness and digital systems of information retention. The installation consists of a series of white A4 sheets signed by the artist. The absence of imagery symbolizes the erasure of transient data, while the signature becomes the only remaining trace — a marker of unique experience and identity.
In Cache, the individual and the digital notions of memory converge: everything incidental disappears, leaving only the personal — that which cannot be reproduced or erased.
