The video was recorded in the summer of 2017 during the artist’s stay in Barcelona. For a month, he systematically filmed the same intersection of Sant Carles and Baluard streets,
capturing the daily rhythm of urban movement. The camera was placed in a fixed position and recorded at different times of the day, showing the constant flow and density of life in this area.
On August 17, 2017, at 16:50 local time, a terrorist attack took place on the central street of La Rambla. Although it did not occur at the site of filming, the event had a strong impact on the city.
The next day, the streets appeared noticeably empty and subdued. By combining footage recorded in the seaside district before the attack, the day after, and some time later, the artist highlights how collective experience and public emotion are reflected in the urban environment. The stillness and emptiness of Barcelona on August 18, 2017, became a visible expression of the city's shared grief
and internal unrest.
